The Hon'ble Union Railway Minister emphasised about how not just technology, but the right technology is to be used to bring about a game-changer. While lot of efforts are being made to smartify railways, they are also working on a massive ERP system to integrate increased capacity, bring about efficiency in implementation and increase empowerment. New trains have been launched like Tejas, Gatimaan, Humsafar, Deen Dayalu coaches and Uday (overnight for business travelers). Also efforts are underway to increase non-fare revenue, address complaints in real time, provide better catering and hospitality services and make the railways environmentally friendly.
