After more than twenty years in senior management positions with Niko and the Group Legrand, Wim De Kesel is since 2010 'Vice-President Standardization' of the Group Legrand. He is fully dedicated to national, regional and international standardization activities.

Wim De Kesel is a Member of the Administrative Board of the Belgian Electrotechnical Commission and is Chairman of different Belgian Technical Committees.

Mr Wim De Kesel is the CENELEC Board Member and Vice-President Policy of Cenelec till the end of 2018 and represents the European Committee of Electrical Installation Equipment Manufacturers (CECAPI) in the CENELEC Technical Board.

Wim de Kesel is also active in IEC as secretary of IEC TC 23 – Electrical Accessories, and as convenor in the international Working Group dealing with LVDC in TC 23 and SC 23B.

Wim was discussing the current developments with India especially in LVDC area During the conference on Standards and Emerging Technology, held on 26th April, 2018 at Hotel Lalit, New Delhi India.
