Mr. Vimal Mahendru was interviewed by Mr. Ajay Sharma, Founder of “Get Me Experts” during the “3rd Indo-European Conference on Standards and Emerging Technology”, which was organized by SESEI ( www.sesei.eu) & CII ( http://www.cii-iq.in/ ). Mr Vimal Mahendru is the President of Legrand-India, a subsidiary of the French multi-national Legrand. In his present role, he guides strategic initiatives of the company, especially forays into new and emerging markets.

Besides this, Vimal is presently the IEC Ambassador, representing IEC in various government and stakeholder for a relevant to the electrotechnical community. He is the IEC Standardization Management Board (SMB) member from India and Chair of the IEC Systems Committee on Low Voltage Direct Current and Low Voltage Direct Current for Electricity Access (SyC-LVDC). Specifically, on Electricity Access, Vimal is representing IEC in various UN, multi-government and international foray, to drive electricity access initiatives through standardization.

During the interview he discussed and gave the gist of implementation of LVDC in Urban, Semi-urban as well as rural area in India.
