Ms. Silvia Vaccaro, Policy officer standardization, DG GROW, European Commission. She works in the Unit of the European Commission DG GROW dealing with standardisation (Unit Standards for Growth) and is responsible for the standards part of the TBT (Technical Barriers to Trade) chapter in all FTAs (Free Trade Agreements) international negotiations.

She discussed the Role of DG Grow in Indo-European Collaboration on Standardization. She explains the challenges faced while working on Free Trade Agreement in reference to standards and how standards eliminate barriers to the trade.
